A Day in the Life

Well, we left our camera on the bus so we will have to post yesterdays events a little later. Here are some pics of the day in the life of an adopting family. We start the each day with breakfast and there is quite an array of things to choose from. As you can see in the picture where he is cooking Maggie's eggs there is a plate of pan fried pot stickers. They look good but watch out!! Then you see us waiting in the lobby for the bus to arrive and then playing at night. And yes there is one surprise picture of the world famous Squatting Potty, most in our group avoid these when possible.

Journey Day 9 - Sophia Day 4

We had another great day. Everyone is well and healthy and so far none of us has gotten sick. Nanning is not considered a tourist town so there are not a lot of attractions to go and see. We went to a museum today and it was good but this was the hottest day we have had and everyone was miserable from the heat. We ate a Pizza Hut and it was very good. Pizza Hut is right next to a mall that was having a 50% off sale as you can see from all of the motorcycles. We went back to the hotel and ate dinner then went for a walk along the lake and saw a beautiful fountain show.

Journey Day 8 - Sophia Day 3

We had a FANTASTIC family day. Sophia woke up in a good mood, we had breakfast and then went to a buddhist temple and a pagoda that was originally built 400 years ago. Our quide took us to a popular resturant that has a wedding show and Matt was chosen to go up a wed a local girl. This was the best meal we have had on our trip, it was very good. We just laughed and played together, great day.
